There is big news for those who drive motorcycle cars or other vehicles. In fact, soon new number plates will also be installed in all old vehicles so that vehicles can be monitored with GPS and state-of-the-art systems. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has given this information. This will be a step towards the government’s plan to eliminate toll plazas in the country.
Half the cost
Gadkari said that the use of Tamper Proof High Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) for new vehicles was started from 2019, where government agencies can get all the information about the vehicles. Now, we have decided to provide the same plate to the old vehicles as well. At present, you have to pay full charges even at toll plazas located 60 km away from each other. Now if you use the highway for only 30 km, then with the help of new technology you will be charged only half the price.
Know how to benefit
Gadkari said that the central government is working to make the country free of toll plazas soon. He said that there would be no stoppage of vehicles and hence, pollution would be less and it would also save time and benefit the people. With the new technology, money can be deducted directly from the bank accounts of the drivers. Gadkari said that about 97 percent of the vehicles in India are already on FASTag and the Indian road infrastructure is at par with that of the United States before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Will happen.
