In the Corona era, the railway is busy speeding up the speed of the train. For this, the railway is preparing the track in such a way that the train can run at a speed of 110 kilometers per hour. Along with this, the railway is also equipped with automatic signaling system with modern technology for safe travel.
Northern Railways has succeeded in upgrading three and a half kilometers of railway track in the last six months. Railway engineers achieved this feat by not stopping their work, taking advantage of the stopping of the train wheels during the Corona period. This work has been completed in five rail sections.
Among them, the trial run of the rail track between Delhi Junction to Sahibabad at 110 km per hour has been completed. Now in this section, the train will run at a speed of 110 km per hour instead of 100 km per hour. Similarly, on the 117-km section of the Jalandhar City to Ferozepur rail section, trains will now run at a faster speed.
The speed of this section has been increased from 95 to 110 kilometers per hour. The speed of 110 km was improved by improving the 62 km rail track between Dhuri-Ludhiana rail section and 124 km rail track in Ludhiana-Ferozepur rail section. is.
Another section in which the train used to run between Amritsar-Khemkaran for just 60 kilometers per hour, has been successful in improving the track. Now trains will run on this rail section at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
General Manager of Northern Railway, Rajeev Chaudhary said that the railway personnel played their role like Corona warriors. When the whole world has stopped due to Corona virus, the railway workers are not only preparing equipment to prevent the Corona virus, but are also working to keep the train running at a high speed. Track maintenance work continues with improved signaling systems.
The speed of the train will not slow down now. The train will now run at a faster speed in 392.7 km stretch. Meanwhile, Northern Railway ran 919 laborers special trains and also worked to bring migrant laborers to their homes and also produced Kovid care coaches, sanitizers, PPE kits.
