New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport is going to give good news soon. After a new notification from the ministry, there is going to be a facility in the transfer of vehicles.
Defense personnel, employees of Central and State Governments, PSUs and employees of private sector companies and institutions having offices in 4 or more states can get their personal vehicles registered in BH (India) series. This scheme notified by the government is voluntary. That is, it has not been made mandatory. Let’s know about this BH series.
Relief for the vehicle owner!
At this time, any vehicle owner can keep his vehicle in a state other than the registered state only for a maximum of 1 year. At the end of 12 months, registration has to be done once again. The BH series has been introduced so that the transfer of private vehicles can be done very easily and without any hassle.
No need to go to RTO
In this you will not even need to go to the RTO. This entire process has been kept online because of this. Earlier, the ministry had proposed ‘IN’ series. It was also proposed that employees of private firms having offices in at least five states and union territories would be able to take advantage of this.
BH Series Option
This will be very beneficial for those people who are more prone to frequent transfers and have to take their vehicles to other states. For BH series (Bharat series) vehicles, re-registration will not be required on moving to another state. Vehicle owners will have the option of BH series. In this case, they will have to pay road tax for two years or more.
What are its benefits
In the last notification, IN has been replaced with BH. At present, 15 years of road tax has to be paid during the registration of private vehicles. At the same time, on moving to other states, they have to pay road tax again for 10 or 12 years, as well as go through the process of registration again. After which they need to claim the amount paid in the first state in which the vehicle was registered earlier. The purpose of this system is to eliminate all this hassle.
Road tax slabs vary
Road tax slab of tax varies from state to state, but now in BH series, 8 per cent for vehicles up to 10 lakhs, 10 per cent for 10 to 20 lakh vehicles, 10 per cent for vehicles above 20 lakhs 12 percent tax has been fixed. 2% additional duty for diesel vehicles and 2% less tax will be levied on electric vehicles. After the completion of fourteen years, motor vehicle will be taxed annually, which will be half of the amount collected earlier.
