Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nit Gadkari said on Tuesday that the government is considering making it mandatory to install seat belt alarm system for the rear seats of the car as well.

Gadkari’s statement came after the death of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry in a road accident in Maharashtra’s Palghar district on Sunday. Mistry was sitting in the back seat of the car.
