Types Of Aadhaar Card: In today’s time, Aadhaar card is required everywhere, be it government or private. Aadhaar card has a 12-digit number, which is used as an identification number. Aadhaar contains all the information like name, date of birth, mobile number, photograph and biometric details. But Aadhaar card is not of just one type. Aadhaar letter

A paper-based laminated letter containing a secure QR code along with the date of issue and print date is called Aadhaar letter. No fee has to be paid for this. It is sent to your home through post. If your original Aadhaar card is lost or damaged, you can get a new one. In this case, you can change the Aadhaar letter online from the official website of UIDAI. There is a charge of Rs 50 for this.

PVC Aadhar Card

The PVC Aadhar card is a compact size Aadhar card. Its size is like an ATM card or debit card and is very light and durable. It is also called plastic Aadhar card. It includes a digital QR code, a photo and demographic information. You can download it by visiting uidai.gov.in or Resident.uidai.gov.in through Aadhaar number, virtual ID, or enrollment ID. For this you have to pay a fee of Rs 50.

E-Aadhaar

The electronic version of the Aadhar card is called e-Aadhaar. It is password protected. It is digitally signed by UIDAI. It also contains a secure QR code for offline verification. It can be downloaded from the official website of UIDAI, no charge is required for this. It is also considered as valid as the physical copy of Aadhaar.

mAadhaar

mAadhaar is an official mobile application (mAadhaar Mobile App) developed by UIDAI. It provides an interface to Aadhaar holders to carry their Aadhaar records registered with CIDR. It also contains a secure QR code for offline verification. It can also be downloaded for free. It is also recognized as a valid ID.

Children have Blue Aadhaar

The Aadhaar card made for children below 5 years of age is blue in color. It is called Blue Aadhaar or Baal Aadhaar. Blue Aadhaar is slightly different from the Aadhaar card of adults. To get Blue Aadhaar, the child’s iris and fingerprint scan is not required. Baal Aadhaar card also has a 12-digit unique identification number. But after becoming more than 5 years old, Blue Aadhaar needs to be updated.
