If you want to update your address in Aadhaar card, then this news is very important for you. Till now UIDAI was providing the facility to update the address without any proof for the convenience of the Aadhar card holders, but now it is not so. According to a tweet by UIDAI, now this service has been discontinued. Responding to a Twitter user named Ahmed Memon on June 14 , UIDAI tweeted that the Address Validation Letter Facility has been closed till further orders.
In the tweet, it was asked to choose one of the valid PoA documents given in the list to request further address update. With the closure of this service, it will be very difficult for those people who do not have the necessary documents to change their address in Aadhaar.
