Free Aadhaar Update Process: Unique Identity Authority of India ( UIDAI ) has given people the opportunity to update Aadhaar for free. If the Aadhaar card is 10 years old, it has to be compulsorily updated. If you have not done so yet, then you can take advantage of UIDAI’s offer. Under this, users whose Aadhaar is 10 years old can update their information absolutely free of cost. There will be no charge for this. We are telling the process of updating Aadhaar for free.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has decided to allow free online updating of documents in Aadhaar, a public interest-oriented move that will benefit lakhs of citizens. To take advantage of this offer, you have to visit the MyAadhaar portal.
How long will you get the free offer
UIDAI has taken this decision as part of the Digital India initiative. Users can avail the facility of free documents update by visiting the myAadhaar portal. This free service is available for the next three months i.e. from March 15 to June 14, 2023.
However, you have to keep in mind that this service is free only on the myAadhaar portal, and a charge of Rs 50 will continue to be paid at the Aadhaar center, as is already going on.

How to update Aadhaar
Visit the official website of myAadhaar to update Aadhaar for free. Here you have to login. For this, it is necessary to link the mobile number with the Aadhaar card. Therefore, while updating self, keep the mobile number registered with Aadhaar with you. Enter the Aadhaar number on the portal and proceed by entering the OTP received from the registered mobile number.
Upload ID and Address Proof
After this, go to the Aadhaar Update section and upload valid Identity Certificate and Address Proof. Proceed by uploading the PDF file of the documents. After the process of Aadhaar update is completed, a 14 digit update request number will be issued. You can also track the update request with this number.
