In order to do so , the user will need to submit documents to change crucial demographic information such as name or address or date of birth. The UIDAI listed as many as 32 documents that are accepted as proof of identity, 45 as proof of address and 15 as documents as proof of birth. Any of these documents can be used to update the information.

Changes which can be made without documents

Some changes in Aadhar can be made without any documents for verification whatsoever. For example, mobile number, photo on Aadhaar card can be changed without any document. Also, biometrics, gender and email ID can also be updated without changing details.

Users can also book an appointment at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra to avail services such Aadhaar enrolment, updating name, address, gender, mobile number, email ID, date of birth or biometrics. Appointments can be made at only some Seva Kendras as of now.
However, it is to be noted that UIDAI places restrictions on the number of times changes can be made to Aadhaar so one needs to make these changes very carefully.
