However, soon health insurance will be available for the unborn child and their associated diseases. For this, two private insurance companies have given their consent.

These companies gave consent

The Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons (IAPS) has been discussing health insurance for unborn children for a long time. IAPS has now got success in this matter. IAPS President Ravindra Ramdwar says that just now two private insurance companies have agreed to provide health insurance to unborn children. It also includes Star Health and Allied Insurance Company. Ramdwara says that every year lakhs of families in the country face problems related to diseases related to the unborn child. This step will bring relief to these families.

Insurance cover will be available till two years of birth



Star Health MD Dr S Prakash says that we have prepared a new policy. New couples can take this policy. Benefits can be taken through this policy in case of any problem to the unborn child. According to Dr. Prakash, if there is any problem for two years after the birth of the child, the benefit of insurance cover will be available. This health insurance will also cover the treatment of many serious diseases. He claimed that all the formalities in this regard have been completed. This policy will be launched for the common man as soon as IRDAI’s approval is received.

Every year more than 17 lakh children in the country are born with diseases related to birth.

According to a report by the National Child Health Program, 6 to 7 out of every 100 children in the country have a birth-related disease. The report says that according to this average, more than 17 lakh children in the country suffer from birth-related diseases every year. This is 9.6 percent of the total number of children born. National Child Health Program is a flagship program of the Central Government. Its main objective is to identify diseases in children from birth to 18 years.
