Unclaimed LIC policy amount: Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has a total unclaimed amount of Rs 880.93 crore for the financial year 2023-24. Rules for Unclaimed Account
If your unclaimed amount remains for more than 10 years, then this money will be transferred to the Senior Citizen Welfare Fund. This money is used to provide benefits to senior citizens. According to the IRDAI circular, the unclaimed amount will include any amount retained by the policyholders or beneficiaries. This also includes earned income.

To check LIC unclaimed amount, you need to have some information. This includes LIC policy number, policy holder’s name, date of birth and PAN card.
How to check unclaimed amount on LIC website?
If any LIC policy holder or beneficiary wants to check the unclaimed amount, then he has to follow some process. First of all he should go to https://licindia.in/home. Then click on the unclaimed amount of the policy holder. Now fill the policy number, name, date of birth and PAN card details. Now click on submit.
