Union Cabinet Meeting: Migrants will get free accommodation, free ration to the needy by November: Javadekar

New Delhi, ANI. The Union Cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday. In the meeting, several important decisions were taken for the poor and needy, including agriculture sector, insurance sector. Union Ministers Prakash Javdekar and Narendra Singh Tomar addressed the press conference about the important decisions taken in the meeting.

Important decisions of cabinet

The cabinet has taken an important decision to provide continuous help to the poor and the needy. This information was given by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.



– Cabinet approved extension of EPF contribution 24% (12% employees and 12% owners) for 3 months from June to August 2020 under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana / Self-reliant India.

– The period of three cylinders found under the Ujjwala scheme was extended till September which was only till June. 13500 crores in this Will cost

– Under the approval of extension of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, free ration will be distributed for the next five months from July to November.



– The first three months 12 million tonnes of food grains were distributed. The target is to distribute 20 million tonnes of food grains in the coming 5 months.

– Cabinet approves expansion of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.

In addition, he said, ‘The government will invest in India’s three general insurance companies National, Oriental and United Insurance Company so that stability and strength will come.’

The meeting was held at the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg (7, Lok Kalyan Marg), New Delhi. Several ministers including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman were present in the meeting. There were already possibilities in cabinet meetings about important decisions. t meeting were seen following the rules of physical distance and face masks.All the members who attended the cabine
