The government has amended the center assessment policy, so that the number of centers in the high school and intermediate exams of UP board does not increase. According to the policy issued in view of the Corona Guideline on 25 November, on an average 14 children were being arranged in one room but now 23 candidates will be able to sit in one room.
The 10th and 12th exams are not likely to start before April. There was talk of conducting board examination in the academic calendar in March-April. According to sources, there has been such a delay regarding the center assessment that it is difficult to start the examination in March. Additional Chief Secretary Aradhana Shukla has given instructions to not make more than 10 percent centers as compared to last year. 7784 centers were created for the 2020 examination. No more than 8562 centers will be built for 2021. Secretary UP Board Divyakant Shukla on Thursday sent a revised policy to all district school inspectors.
In the earlier policy, an area of 36 sq ft (3.34 sqm) was prescribed for each candidate. Now a standard of 6 square feet distance has been kept between each candidate. Now every candidate will get 25 sq ft (2.32 sqm) of space. With the requirement of 6 feet distance from all four walls, now 23 children will be able to sit in one room.
In earlier years, there was a provision of seating of 26 children in one room, so the examination center will not be able to grow much due to the revised policy. The policy, issued on 25 November 2020, talked about setting a center for a minimum of 150 and a maximum of 800 candidates. But so far the rule of minimum 250 and maximum 1200 students has been implemented.
That is, earlier, where a maximum of 400 children could sit in each shift, now a maximum of 600 children can be administered in one school in one shift. This will enable proper utilization of holding capacity of big schools.
Now the list of centers will be released by 22 February
Prayagraj. The timetable has also been revised along with revising the Centre’s policy. The final list of centers was to be released by February 9 first. Now the final list will be released by 22 February. The first list was to be released on January 11, which will now be announced by January 25.
