UP Diwali Holiday 2024: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has announced holidays for the festival of Diwali. With this, the confusion regarding the date of Diwali this time has also been cleared. For the last few days, people were confused about whether Diwali would be celebrated on October 31 or November 1. But after the order of the government, the situation has become clear. According to the order, this year the festival of Diwali will be celebrated on October 31. Apart from this, there will be a holiday on Govardhan Puja on November 2 and Bhai Dooj on November 3.

Preparations are underway for the grand Deepotsav in Ayodhya

Like every year, this time too, a grand Deepotsav will be organized by the Yogi government in Ramnagari Ayodhya. Preparations for this have been going on for several months. This Deepotsav program of the state government is very special, in which Ayodhya is decorated with lakhs of diyas and cultural programs will be organized.

The government issued instructions to pay salaries

In an order issued by Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar, all the District Magistrates and Treasuries of the state have been instructed to ensure payment of salaries of government employees before Diwali. This step has been taken to ensure that all government employees and officers can enjoy the happiness of the festival with their families.

There was confusion regarding Amavasya date

There was confusion about the date of Diwali this year because Amavasya is starting on October 31 at 2:40 pm. It will end by the afternoon of November 1. According to the scriptures, Diwali puja is performed on the night of Amavasya, so this year Diwali will be celebrated on October 31.

Holiday schedule

Diwali holiday has been declared on 31 October, while Govardhan Puja holiday has been declared on 2 November and Bhai Dooj holiday on 3 November. Although the situation regarding the holiday on 1 November is not clear, it is expected that people will celebrate the festival of Diwali with great pomp on 31 October. With this decision of the Uttar Pradesh government, the confusion regarding the date of Diwali has ended and people can now happily start their preparations.
