The UP government will give free tablet or smartphone to the students taking technical and vocational education including BA, MA. The list is being prepared rapidly for this.
When will the Yogi government start distributing tablets and smartphones
According to a report published in India, the Yogi government will start distributing smartphones or tablets to students for free from this month. For this scheme, the Yogi government has constituted a team under the chairmanship of DM in every district, in which there are 6 members. This team is preparing the list of identified educational institutions.
Smartphones and tablets to be purchased through GEM portal
The smartphones or tablets will be purchased through the Gem portal to be given to the students free of cost. Gem Port will be the nodal agency. Which students will be given smartphones or tablets, its eligibility will also be decided.
Apart from students, these people will also get tablets for free
Know that apart from the students, the Yogi government will also provide free smartphones or tablets to carpenters, plumbers, electricians, nurses and AC mechanics etc., so that they can provide better facilities.
It is worth noting that the university or educational institution in which the students are studying will have to feed the data of the students. After the completion of data feeding, the eligible students will be given free smartphones and tablets.
It is believed that the Yogi government will distribute more and more smartphones or tablets before the code of conduct for the 2022 assembly elections is implemented, because after the implementation of the code of conduct, smartphones and tablets will not be distributed for free.
