new Delhi. If you use Rupay Credit Card for UPI payment, then there is good news for you. In fact, the country’s major credit card issuers SBI Card, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank are expected to launch the Rupay Credit Card on UPI feature by March.
The CEO of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) told Business Standard that the move would boost daily transactions on the feature, which currently stand at Rs 50 lakh a day.
Recently Rupay Credit Card on UPI facility has been started. Now you will be able to pay by credit card by scanning at the neighborhood shop. However, through Rupay Credit Card, you can make payment only to Merchant UPI QR code. Can’t make P2P payments.
Rupay credit of 4 banks has also gone live on BHIM app
Rupay credit of 4 banks has gone live on BHIM App app operated by NPCI and PayZapp App operated by HDFC Bank. Rupay credit card holders of Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and HDFC Bank can link their cards to the BHIM app. In future, you will be able to link your RuPay Credit Card with other UPI apps as well.
How to link RuPay Credit Card with BHIM App
>> First open the Bhima app.
>> After this click on the linked bank account.
>> Now on clicking on +, 2 options appear in Add Account – Bank Account and Credit Card.
>> After clicking on Credit Card, on clicking on the related card, the details of the credit card linked to your mobile number will come. (You can also do this process after clicking on the banner Rupay Credit Card on UPI appearing on the home page.)
>> Now enter the last 6 digits and validity of the credit card.
>> After this enter the OTP received on the mobile.
>> Create UPI PIN. In this way the process of registration will be completed.
>> Now scan the merchant UPI QR code and select RuPay Credit Card and complete the payment by entering the UPI PIN.
