IndusInd Bank started service
IndusInd Bank has launched cross-border UPI ID payment service to make it easier for Indians working abroad to send money to their homes. For this, the bank has joined hands with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
Under this, the bank will allow its Money Transfer Operators (MTO) partners to call money from abroad through UPI ID. In this way, IndusInd Bank has become the first bank in the country to provide the facility of payment from abroad through UPI.
First service started from Thailand
IndusInd Bank has started this service in Thailand for the time being. Thailand’s money transfer company DeeMoney will connect to NPCI using IndusInd Bank’s channel to service UPI payments. After this, the UPI ID to whom the payment has to be made, will directly transfer the money to his account.
For this, if a person wants to send money from Thailand, then he will enter the UPI ID of the sender on DeeMoney’s site and after verification, he will be able to transfer money.
Account details will not be required
Paying through UPI from abroad will be quite easy and relief work. Because for this only UPI ID will be required. With this, the senders will not have to remember the account information and IFSC code of the front. Nor will there be any need to fill long forms.
