Reason for UPI services being shut down
HDFC Bank has decided to temporarily shut down UPI services due to maintenance work in its system. The bank has already informed the customers that these services will be temporarily unavailable due to system maintenance on the night of November 5 and November 23.
For how long will the UPI service be closed?
HDFC Bank’s UPI service will be temporarily shut down from 12 midnight to 3 am on November 5 and November 23.
Effect of UPI service shutdown
During the shutdown of UPI service, the bank’s customers will face difficulty in making financial and non-financial UPI transactions. This also includes all merchants who use UPI facility with HDFC Bank. Whether customers are using any digital app or any other medium, UPI service will be closed during these hours.

UPI services will resume smoothly after system maintenance. HDFC Bank has advised customers to avoid using UPI during this period and complete important transactions ahead of time.
