US Student Visa Process: America has taken a big decision regarding the F-1 Visa given as student visa, which is going to benefit Indians.



US Student Visa: The US has announced the introduction of premium processing for ‘Employment Authorization Application’ for certain categories of international students. This step is going to benefit a large number of Indian students who have gone to study in America on F-1 Visa . Actually, now Indian students will be able to apply directly for temporary jobs in the field related to their course. F One Visa is given for studies in America. During studies, students work in different fields.

However, now students will have the option to apply for jobs in the field related to their field only. Till now, the students had to be content with minor tasks during their studies. It is common in the US to do odd jobs to cover one’s own expenses while studying. Many times students work in a restaurant, hotel or food chain company to meet their expenses. Now with the new decision, he will get a chance to work in the field related to his field.


Which students will get the benefit?

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced premium processing for OPT (Optional Practical Training) applications for international students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) fields or related fields. Phase-wise premium processing for some categories will start from March 6. Apart from this, the processing for other categories is going to start from 3rd April.

Immigration will be easy

“In addition to the ease of online filing, the availability of premium processing for some F-1 students will make immigration easier for many international students,” USCIS Director Ur M. Jaddu said in a statement.

He further said, ‘The expansion of online filing is a priority for USCIS as we increase operational capacity. Through this, all those people including stakeholders, applicants, for whom we work, will be benefited.
