US Visa Charge Hike If you are going to study or travel in America, then you will have to pay more charges after May 30, because the visa charge is increasing.
Visa fees for US tourist, business (B1/B2) as well as student and other categories will be increased with effect from May 30, 2023.
Certain non-immigrant visa application (NIV) processing fees, the fee for visitor visas for business or tourism (B1/B2) will increase from $160 to $185.
The fee for certain petition-based nonimmigrant visas for temporary workers (H, L, O, P, Q, and R categories) will increase from $190 to $205.
The fee for treaty applicants, treaty traders, and special occupations would increase from $205 to $315. Other consular fees are not affected by this rule, including a waiver of the fee required for two years of residence.
All fee payments for visa interviews conducted on or after 1st October of the previous year are valid for 365 days from the date of issue of fee payment challan.
The fee paid by the applicants before October 1, 2022 will be valid till September 30 this year. For this reason, the application fee has to be deposited before 30 September.
