Railways has launched UTS mobile application to save passengers travelling in general bogies from the crowd at the ticket counter, so that they can easily get platform tickets and general coach tickets without standing in line. What is UTSÂ Mobile App?
The full form of UTS App is Unreserved ticketing system app. It easily provides the facility of booking tickets from home. With its help, you can book unreserved tickets from your phone itself. Along with this, if there is a long queue at the ticket counter, then you can also buy platform tickets from this app. This app is available to you on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.
Can the ticket booked through UTS app be cancelled?
According to the official website of the railways, passengers cannot cancel paperless tickets under any circumstances. However, paper tickets can be cancelled under certain conditions.
The railways said that the railways have two rules for cancelling paper tickets. If you have booked a ticket through a mobile application and have not printed it from the kiosk machine present at the station, then it can be easily cancelled from the mobile application.
If you have printed the ticket from the kiosk machine present at the station, then it can be cancelled by going to the UTS counter within the next one hour. In both these situations, you do not get a cash refund, rather after deducting the fixed charge, your remaining amount is added to your UTS wallet as a top up and deposited in the bank account.

If you have taken a paper ticket from the UTS application and have not printed it, then you can book it by going to the UTS mobile application

- First of all download the UTS App from the play store.
- After this, install the app on your phone.
- After installation, you will have to enter your personal details.
- After this, register the UTS mobile app with your number.
- After this, you will have to add some money to the wallet of the UTS App.
- After this, select the station you want to reach.
- After selection, you will see the option of get fare.
- Select it and make the payment.
- After this, you will see the ticket in this app.
