Prayagraj police of Uttar Pradesh has launched an e-Informer scheme to curb crime. Under this scheme, any common man can complain of any crime through WhatsApp. Senior Superintendent of Police of the district, Sarvshreshth Tripathi, while interacting with the media said that with the aim of getting information from people about crime and criminals and connecting citizens with police, e-informers ( (E-Informer) scheme has been launched.

Name of the informer will be kept confidential
He said that under this scheme, if any crime is visible to all the people of the society anywhere and they feel that information should be given to the police about this, keeping the names, addresses of such people completely confidential. Police will take information and take action.

Tripathi said that the e-informer scheme is being run through a WhatsApp group. Whose number is 9918101617. Any person can give information on this number. In addition, photographs and voice recordings or video clips can also be sent.
