Railways had launched the first saffron-grey colored Vande Bharat train on September 24 between Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, while talking to journalists recently, had denied that there was any politics behind the color of Vande Bharat train being orange or saffron. He had said that the choice of colors is completely based on scientific thinking.
He had said, ‘Human eyes see two colors the most – yellow and orange. About 80 percent of trains in Europe are colored orange or a combination of yellow and orange.’
