Vande Bharat Trains: Vande Bharat train equipped with luxurious facilities is being made in India itself. Now this train will also start from Bihar and will go to Jharkhand and West Bengal.


New Delhi. Indian Railways may soon start 3 new Vande Bharat Express trains. These trains will run from Bihar. The new semi-high speed trains are expected to run on Patna-Ranchi, Patna-Howrah and Varanasi-Howrah routes. However, an official announcement in this regard has not yet been made by the Railways. There is a possibility that Bharat Express trains will start from the month of April on Patna-Howrah, Patna-Ranchi and Varanasi-Howrah via Gaya route.

According to media reports, this time Rs 8,505 crore has been allocated to Bihar in the budget 2023 for the expansion and development of railways. This is almost seven times more than the amount allocated earlier for the state. This money will be used for the construction of new stations, railway crossing fly overs and operation of new trains.


Quoting a statement by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, an East Central Railway official said that along with the construction of a new rail bridge parallel to the Rajendra bridge between Begusarai and Mokama, 87 stations in the state would also be redeveloped. Rs 296 crore will be spent on Muzaffarpur, Rs 442 crore on Muzaffarpur and Rs 221 crore on Bapudham Motihari station under Amrit Bharat scheme.

The journey from Patna to Ranchi will be in 4 hours

Bihar’s capital Patna and Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi will be connected by Vande Bharat Express trains. With the running of Vande Bharat train, the journey between the two capitals will be reduced to only 4 hours. Railways will start 75 Vande Bharat trains by August 2023. Railways had started South India’s first Vande Bharat Express train on the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysore route in November last year.

400 Vande Bharat trains will be on the tracks in 3 years

Indian Railways plans to run 75 Vande Bharat trains by the end of this year and 400 trains in the next three years. So far Vande Bharat trains have been started on various routes including Nagpur-Bilaspur, Delhi-Varanasi, Gandhinagar-Mumbai and Chennai-Mysore. The Vande Bharat Express is designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory at Perambur, Chennai, under the Make in India initiative.
