Vande Bharat Express Cancelled: Indian Railways has cancelled the operation of Vande Bharat Express train between these route. According to media reports, the railways have canceled this semi-high-speed train for 50 days. The maintenance and operation of this train is being done by the Northern Railway Zone.
According to media reports, currently a total of two Vande Bharat trains run between Delhi and Katra. These include train number 22439/22440 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express and train number 22477/22478 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express.
Out of the two, the railways has canceled the services of only train number 22439/22440 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express. The New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express train covers a distance of 655 km in 8 hours and 5 minutes.
On which day does the train run?
This train runs on all days of the week except Wednesday. This train departs from New Delhi at 6 am and reaches Katra at 2.05 pm. On its return journey, this train departs from Katra at 2.55 pm and reaches the national capital at 11 pm.
Where are the train stops?
During its journey, the train stops at four stations on the way. These include Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana Junction, Pathankot Cantonment and Jammu Tawi. The train has two types of seats – AC chair car and executive chair car. To travel in AC chair car between New Delhi and Katra, the passenger has to pay Rs 1665, while the ticket price for executive chair car is Rs 3055.
When will the operation stop?
Indian Railways has canceled the operation of the train from 16 January to 6 March 2025. The train has been canceled due to pre-non-interlocking / non-interlocking work in Jammu yard in connection with the redevelopment work of Jammu station.
