Shikha Shreya / Ranchi. The Vande Bharat Express running between Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi to Bihar’s capital Patna has started, but its high fare has become a headache for the people. In view of this, Railways is discussing to reduce the fare of Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat train.

How much is Vande Bharat train fare

At present, if we talk about the fare of Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express, then Rs. 1,175 for normal chair car. Whereas, the fare for the executive class is Rs 2,110. On the other hand, if we talk about the Janshatabdi train running between Ranchi and Patna, then the CC class fare is Rs.650. Whereas, the fare for normal chair car is Rs.195. According to the information received, railway officials say that Vande Bharat is running on many routes with passengers less than capacity. The main reason for this is that the fare of Shatabdi train running on that route is less than that of Vande Bharat.

Shashank, a resident of Ranchi’s Ratu Road, says that he often travels from Ranchi to Patna. I like Jan Shatabdi more because its AC fare is Rs.650. Whereas, the fare of Vande Bharat train is three times more than this. It is a bit difficult for a middle class family to pay this much rent.
