Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off two Vande Bharat Express trains from Gorakhpur on 7 July 2023. The two semi-high speed trains include the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express and the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express.
Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off two Vande Bharat Express trains from Gorakhpur on 7 July 2023. The two semi-high speed trains include the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express and the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express. While the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will connect the city of Baba Gorakhnath with Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram, and Lucknow, the city of nawabs, the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will improve connectivity between the Rajputana city and Ahmedabad.
Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express
The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat train will connect the cities of Pali, Abu Road, Palanpur and Mehsana on the route between Jodhpur in Rajasthan and Sabarmati in Gujarat. This will be the second Vande Bharat Express of Rajasthan after the Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat train. As far as Gujarat is concerned, there is already Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express and this will be the second semi-high speed train for the state as well.

Vande Bharat Express India’s semi-high-speed train now provides its services in all rail-electrified states across the country. With 23 operational routes and 46 operational services, Vande Bharat Express is the fastest train of Indian Railways. After the joining of these two new trains on 7th July, the operational service of Vande Bharat Express will achieve a significant milestone of 50 services running on 25 routes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first Vande Bharat Express running between New Delhi and Varanasi on 15 February 2019. Manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, the train set is a symbol of the ‘Make-in-India’ initiative and showcases India’s engineering prowess.
