Vande Bharat Express vs Vande Metro: After the arrival of Vande Bharat Express train in India, travel time has reduced to a great extent. This network will connect 124 cities with a distance of about 100-250 kilometers and provide both inter-city and intra-city travel.
Talking about some big routes of Vande Metro, these include Delhi to Rewari, Agra to Mathura, Lucknow to Kanpur, Bhubaneswar to Balasore and Tirupati to Chennai. The prototype of Vande Metro is currently being developed at Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala in Punjab . The trial run of Vande Metro is to start from July 2024 and after that preparations for the launch will be made.

Difference between Vande Bharat Express, Vande Metro
- Route: Vande Metro is specially designed to connect the big cities located at short distances in the country to help the students and working people. Whereas Vande Bharat Express train covers long distances and connects many big cities.
- Frequency: The frequency of Vande Metro will be kept higher. It is believed that this train will circle between the two cities four to five times a day. If we talk about Vande Bharat Express train, this long distance train operates once or twice a day.
- Size: Both trains can have a minimum of 12 and maximum of 16 coaches. But the designing of their boxes is different. Comfortable seats have been provided for all passengers in Vande Bharat Express train. According to reports, Vande Metro will have seating capacity for 100 passengers and 180 standing passengers.
- Speed: Vande Metro train can reach a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour. Whereas Vande Bharat Express train is faster and can reach a speed of up to 183 kilometers per hour.
