Vande Bharat Metro: Railways has successfully launched Vande Bharat Express and Amrit Bharat Express. Now the trial run of Vande Bharat Metro is expected to start from July.
Vande Bharat Metro: Railways have started a race to become increasingly modern in the last few years. On this path of modernization, Railways has started great trains like Vande Bharat Express and Amrit Bharat Express. Besides, the plan to modernize railway stations is also going on at a rapid pace. Now Indian Railways is preparing to bring metro version of Vande Bharat train. At present it has been named Vande Bharat Metro. This train will prove suitable for short distance journeys. Indian Railways is going to start the trial run of Vande Bharat Metro from July.
Vande Bharat Metro will have 4 to 16 coaches
According to a senior Railway official, at present their priority is Vande Bharat Metro. There will be 12 coaches in it. These will also have bigger doors and side seats from Vande Bharat. This train has been designed to accelerate rapidly. It can also be run in four coach, eight coach and 16 coach models. Vande Bharat Metro with 16 coaches will be run only on highly congested routes. This train will prove to be very beneficial for those people who travel by train daily. This will prove to be a boon for those going to nearby cities for work.
Will run for a distance of 100 to 250 km
According to the report of Business Standard, Indian Railways plans to run the Vande Metro train for a distance of 100 to 250 km. In the first phase, 124 cities will be connected by Vande Metro. Some of these routes have almost been finalized. These include Lucknow-Kanpur, Agra-Mathura and Tirupati-Chennai. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had announced this train for the first time in 2022-23. Currently the running Vande Bharat Express has only seating seats. These are not driven over long distances. Therefore, Vande Bharat sleeper train will also be introduced soon.
Railway line will not be laid separately
Many experts have expressed concern over the Vande Metro plan of Indian Railways. He says that separate lines have been laid in the metro and RRTS systems. Therefore she is able to travel faster. But, Vande Metro has to run on the same tracks which are used by other trains. In such a situation, a question mark arises on their success. However, the railway official has dismissed these concerns.
