Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: Before the operation of India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train, the RDSO will issue the final certificate after analyzing the test. The Railway Safety Commissioner will evaluate the train at its maximum speed.
Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: The first Vande Bharat sleeper train set with 16 coaches now requires certification of ‘Research Designs and Standards Organization’ (RDSO) and approval of the Commissioner, Railway Safety for commercial operation. The Railway Board gave this information on Thursday. It said that the train had successfully completed the long distance test on January 15.
This certificate is awaited
The board said in a statement, “Before the operation of India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train, the RDSO will issue the final certificate after analyzing the test. The Railway Safety Commissioner will evaluate the train at its maximum speed.”
Trial completed
According to the board, the dream of a world-class, high-speed sleeper train has now become a reality, as the first 16-coach Vande Bharat sleeper train set has successfully completed trials by RDSO for a distance of 540 km in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad section on January 15.
“Integrated Coach Factory (Chennai) completed the manufacturing of India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train set on December 17, 2024,” the statement said.
