At present 41 Vande Bharat trains are operating. In this, 39 trains are running on the track and two trains have been kept on reserve. All these Vande Bharat Expresses are chair car, which means one can travel sitting in them. These trains return to the same stations from where they originate at night. Now Railways is going to make the journey of Vande Bharat more convenient. This means that Vande Bharat sleeper will travel a long distance. Now these will run at night, in which passengers will be able to travel while sleeping.
These will be the possible routes
According to the Railway Ministry, preparations are on to run the first Vande Bharat sleeper train between the country’s major routes Delhi-Howrah and Delhi-Mumbai. These routes are the busiest and at present the number of passengers on both the routes is very high. Keeping this in mind, Vande Bharat Express train can be run on two routes simultaneously.
Sleeper Vande Bharat will run on these routes
A total of 10 sleeper Vande Bharat trains are being prepared. Apart from these two routes, Delhi-Bangalore, Delhi-Chennai, Delhi-Guwahati, Delhi-Bhubaneswar, Delhi-Patna will be possible routes, where sleeper Vande Bharat trains can be operated.
Know the specialty
According to the Railway Ministry, the first sleeper Vande Bharat Sleeper will be manufactured by ICF Chennai only. Its sleeper coach will be slightly different from Rajdhani and other premium trains. In this, each coach will have three toilets instead of four. Along with this, a mini pantry will also be made. There will be a total of 823 berths in a sleeper Vande Bharat train. It will have 823 berths for passengers and 34 berths for staff.
