Currently the journey from Hyderabad to Bengaluru in superfast express trains takes around 10 to 12 hours. However, with the introduction of Vande Bharat, the travel time is estimated to come down to 8.30 hours.
Vande Bharat, Indian Railway: Vande Bharat trains have changed the Indian Railways. Passengers are completing their journey in less time. Most states have received their Vande Bharat trains. Now a city is likely to get not one, but three new Vande Bharat trains. Railways is preparing to run more than 10 Vande Bharat trains in the country in the coming time. Some of these routes could be Kachiguda – Yesvantpur (Bengaluru), Secunderabad – Pune, Secunderabad – Nagpur and Vijayawada – Tirupati via Chennai.
Trial runs have been completed on the Nagpur and Bengaluru sections, while it is likely to replace the Shatabdi Express on the Pune route. The South Central Railway (SCR) has already upgraded its rail network on these routes to run trains at a maximum speed of 130 kmph. Passengers are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Kachiguda-Yesvantpur Vande Bharat Express as it will connect two IT hubs: Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
As per The New Indian Express report, currently the journey from Hyderabad to Bengaluru in superfast express trains takes around 10 to 12 hours. However, with the introduction of Vande Bharat, the travel time is estimated to come down to 8.30 hours. The train will start its journey from Kachiguda Railway Station at 6:00 AM and reach Yesvantpur by 2:30 PM. In the return direction, the train will start from Yesvantpur at 3:00 PM and reach Kacheguda at 11:30 PM.
Also, Indian Railways is planning to replace the Secunderabad-Pune Shatabdi Superfast Express with Vande Bharat Express. Shatabdi currently takes 8.25 hrs from Secunderabad to Pune with limited stops. However, with the introduction of Vande Bharat Express on this route, the travel time will be reduced. With respect to the Nagpur Vande Bharat Express, the estimated travel time is around seven hours, effectively reducing travel time by around two hours. Secunderabad-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express is expected to stop at Kazipet, Ramagundam, Mancherial, Sirpur Kagaznagar and Balharshah. Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Vijayawada depots to be upgraded for maintenance of Vande Bharat trains.
