Railways Latest News: After the introduction of Vande Bharat, a semi-high speed train by the Railways, crores of railway passengers have got convenience. Due to this, their journey is covered in less time. The government plans to connect 150 cities of the country with Vande Bharat Express. After this, trains like Intercity and Shatabdi can also be replaced with Vande Bharat. But now Central Railway has announced to increase the speed of CSMT-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express on Igatpuri-Manmad route.
Ready to boost up to 130 kmph
Railways is ready to increase the speed of Vande Bharat Express up to Shirdi to 130 kmph. This semi high speed train is capable of reaching speeds of up to 180 kmph. But due to the bad condition of the track, trains are being run at an average speed of about 83 km per hour on this route for the last two years. According to the Railway Board, to increase the speed of the train, the work of improving the track has started.
Train speed will be increased
After the repair work of the track is completed soon, the speed of the semi high speed train will be increased. This will reduce the travel time to Shirdi by 30 minutes in future. Other trains plying on this route will also benefit from the repair of the track. Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat is the tenth Vande Bharat train of the country.
Mumbai CSMT – Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express (22223) is operated between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Sainagar Shirdi Terminal. The train starts from Mumbai at 6.20 am and stops at Thane, Kalyan and Nashik Road railway stations. With this, it reaches the destination at 11.30 am. While it starts from Shirdi at 5.25 pm and reaches Mumbai at 10.50 pm.
