Indian Railways had started semi-high speed trains with the aim of connecting every corner of the country and providing facilities like aircraft in trains. On 15 February 2019, the first Vande Bharat Express in the country was run between Varanasi and New Delhi. Since then, the numbers of Vande Bharat Express have been gradually increased to connect almost every part of the country with other parts.
Till now, the operation of the country’s only semi high speed Vande Bharat Express has started on 30 routes across the country. Mini Vande Bharat Express of 8 coaches also runs on some of these routes. Vande Bharat Express, which looks a lot like Japan’s bullet train, initially ran only with white and blue stripes. But now saffron and gray colored upgraded Vande Bharat Express rakes are also being manufactured. Let us tell you, all the coaches and rakes of Vande Bharat Express are manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai.
Routes and Details of Vande Bharat Express :-
1. New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express
This train runs on the route New Delhi-Kanpur-Prayagraj-Varanasi. It takes about 6 hours to cover the 759 km distance between New Delhi and Varanasi. This train runs 5 days a week except Monday and Thursday. The AC chair car fare of this train is ₹ 1,287 and the executive car fare is ₹ 2,661.
2. New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express
This train connects the capital New Delhi to Katra, the base camp of Vaishno Devi. It takes approximately 8 hours to cover the distance between New Delhi and Katra. It runs 6 days a week except Tuesday. The AC chaircar fare of this train is ₹ 1,154 and the executive chaircar fare is ₹ 2,375.
3. Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express
This train connects Gandhinagar in Gujarat to Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra in just 6.30 hours. Covering a distance of 522 km, this train reaches Mumbai from Gandhinagar on 6 days of the week except Sunday. Its AC chair car fare is ₹974 and executive car fare is ₹2,018.
4. New Delhi-Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express
Vande Bharat Express takes about 5.30 hours to connect New Delhi with the Queen of Hills, Himachal Pradesh. This train runs 6 days a week except Friday. Vande Bharat AC chaircar fare on this route is ₹832 and executive chaircar fare is ₹1,708.
5. Chennai-Mysore Vande Bharat Express
This train takes approximately 7 hours to connect Chennai and Mysore, two major cities of South India. It covers a distance of 401 km between Chennai in Tamil Nadu and Mysore in Karnataka. This train does not run on Wednesday. Vande Bharat’s AC chaircar fare on this route is ₹922 and executive chaircar fare is ₹1,884.
6. Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express
Vande Bharat Express on the route from Maharashtra to Chhattisgarh used to complete its journey in about 6.30 hours. But due to low passenger occupancy, this train was converted into Tejas.
7. Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express
This is the first Vande Bharat Express of West Bengal. This train connects South Bengal to North Bengal. It covers the distance of 454 km in about 7.30 hours. This train runs 6 days a week except Wednesday. Vande Bharat AC chaircar fare is ₹1,044 and executive chaircar fare is ₹2,142.
8. Secunderabad-Vishakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express
This train runs 6 days a week (except Sunday) between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It takes about 9 hours to cover the distance between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam. Vande Bharat’s AC chaircar fare on this route is ₹1,207 and executive chaircar fare is ₹2,485.
9. Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express connects two cities of Maharashtra. This train takes about 6 hours 35 minutes to reach Solapur from Mumbai. Vande Bharat Express, which runs 6 days a week except Wednesday, has an AC chair car fare of ₹ 859 and an executive chair car fare of ₹ 1,766.
10. Mumbai-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express

11. Hazrat Nizamuddin-Rani Kamlapati Vande Bharat Express
This train takes approximately 7.45 hours to connect the capital Delhi with Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh. This train covers the distance of 700 km between Bhopal and Delhi 6 days a week except Saturday. The train’s AC chaircar fare is ₹1,207 and executive chaircar fare is ₹2,485.
12. Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express, connecting IT city Secunderabad to Tirupati Balaji, takes only 8 hours 30 minutes to cover the distance of 660 km. 13. Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express

14. Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express

19. Rani Kamlapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express connects the Mahakaushal region of Madhya Pradesh with the Central region. Vande Bharat Express, which runs at a maximum speed of 130 km per hour between the two cities, covers the distance between Bhopal and Jabalpur in 30 minutes less than other trains.
20. Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express

21. Mumbai-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express
This train is very beneficial for the tourists going to Goa. This train runs 6 days a week (not Friday) between CSMT in Mumbai and Madgaon station in Goa.
22. Dharwad-Bangalore Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express connects Dharwad, Hubli and Devangare regions of Karnataka to Bangalore. This train takes 30 minutes less time than other trains running on this route.
23. Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express is very important to increase connectivity between Patna and Ranchi. This train takes 1 hour 25 minutes less than other trains running on this route. This train runs 6 days a week except Tuesday. This train takes approximately 6.30 hours to reach Ranchi (Hatiya) from Patna.
24. Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express connects the two major pilgrimage places of Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhnath and Ram Janmabhoomi. Because of this train, Ayodhya can be reached from both Gorakhpur and Lucknow cities in just 2 hours.
25. Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express
This train operates between Rajasthan and Gujarat. This train runs on the routes of Pali, Abu Road, Palanpur and Mehsana. This train takes about 6-6.30 hours to reach Sabarmati from Jodhpur.
26. Kacheguda-Yesvantpur Vande Bharat Express
This train has recently been started between Bangalore (Yesvantpur) and Hyderabad (Kacheguda). This train connecting the two IT cities will take 2.50 minutes less time than other trains running on this route. The fare for the executive class of Bangalore-Hyderabad Vande Bharat Express has been kept at ₹2,865.
27. Vijayawada-Chennai Vande Bharat Express
