Vande Bharat: Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on Sunday said Kerala will get more Vande Bharat Express trains. The Union Minister made this comment while traveling in the second Vande Bharat train received by the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off nine such trains in an online program, which includes one train for Kerala.

When Muraleedharan was asked whether Kerala would get more Vande Bharat trains, he said, “Absolutely.” Currently there are 34 trains. More than 400 trains are yet to come.” Apart from Muraleedharan, Indian Railway Passenger Facilitation Committee (PAC) Chairman PK Krishnadas and Kerala Sports, Waqf, Haj Yatra, Posts and Telegraphs Minister Abdurahiman and BJP State President K Surendran also spoke about the new train. Were riding in.

“The Union Railway Minister had said that to ensure that the journey time does not increase and more stations are not added to the route of the first Vande Bharat Express,” Abdurahiman told reporters, “He (Muralidharan ) had assured us that the second train will connect Alappuzha and Malappuram and will stop at Tirur station. So, this has now become a reality.”

Surendran said the second train connecting Kerala’s northern district Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram in the south is a big relief for the people of the state. He also said that this train will be beneficial for the development of the state and the Railways. “Many states have not received two Vande Bharat trains and some important states have not received even a single train,” he said. The service of this train will start from September 26 and it will run from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod. Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Modi from Thiruvananthapuram in April.
