If you do not deposit the challan of your vehicle or two-wheeler on time, then after 90 days i.e. three months from the date of deduction of the challan, your vehicle will be put in ‘Not to be Transacted’ category on the vehicle portal.

Can’t get these things done

If the challan is not paid, all the transport department services related to the vehicle portal will be blocked. These services include vehicle fitness check, pollution check, vehicle transfer, and address change. To resume these services, the challan will have to be paid.

Problems may increase

Department officials said that pending challans have increased significantly, keeping this in view this strictness is being taken. Let us tell you, this rule was already there. Earlier this work was manual, which took a lot of time. But now it will be automatic. This decision is a warning to the drivers that they should follow the rules on the road and pay the challan on time. If they do not do this, they may have to face many problems.

Action against more than 6 thousand

After this decision, so far more than 6,000 vehicles have been put in the “Not to be Transacted” category. Drivers of these vehicles will be allowed to resume these services only after paying the challan. Officials said that many of these vehicles were challaned last year in violation of the restrictions related to GRAP. Data related to non-payment of challan is also being collected from the traffic police. The traffic police has many such challans which have not been deposited for a long time.
