Vehicle Re Registration Cost: Indore :Under the new scrap policy, the central government is going to take strict action on 15-year-old vehicles. Such vehicles will be taken out of circulation. If the condition of the vehicle is good and it meets the pollution standards, then there will be the facility of re-registration.
However, for this registration fee may have to be paid up to eight times more. The new policy can be implemented from October 1 by issuing a notification. If this happens, re-registration of a 15-year-old two wheeler in Indore will result in a fee of up to four and a half thousand rupees. For cars this amount can be up to 7200. Apart from this, the green tax charged by the state government will also have to be paid.

According to the agents, along with a fee of about Rs 650 on the re-registration of the bike, about two thousand rupees have to be paid as green tax, while the re-registration fee in the car is about Rs 900 and Rs 5000 green tax. Fees will increase when new rules come in. Whereas the green tax will remain the same as before.

Penalty is so much: At present, if the registration of vehicles older than 15 years has not been renewed, then the traffic police imposes fine. Under this, Rs 2000 is charged for two wheelers and Rs 3000 for four wheelers (car, jeep, SUV).


Action on only 13 vehicles in six months regarding pollution

The Transport Department has taken action against only 13 vehicles for causing pollution from the beginning of this year till June. An action plan is being prepared to reduce the level of air pollution in the city. Information was sought from the Transport Department regarding this. This information has come to the fore in a letter sent by the Transport Department to the Pollution Control Board.
