According to news agency ANI, the car of Indian in-charge Gaurav Ahluwalia has been chased by a motorcycle from a member of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Not only this, the ISI has set up several cars and bikes outside his residence to harass and monitor Gaurav Ahluwalia. ISI spies sitting in it are watching the Indian diplomat all the time. In response, Pakistan said that it had expressed its limited and restrained response to avoid escalating tensions with India.
A few days ago, two employees of the Pakistani High Commission were arrested in New Delhi while spying on the Indian Army and were sent back to Pakistan. Pakistan is harassing the officials of the Indian High Commission in one way or the other in this bloodbath. According to sources, in the month of March also, the Indian High Commission in Pakistan sent a strong message to the Foreign Ministry of Islamabad for persistent harassment of its officers and staff. In this note, India, referring to 13 incidents in March, asked Pakistan to stop such incidents and asked for an inquiry into the matter.
Direct violation of 1961
India asked Pakistani agencies to immediately investigate these cases and said that such incidents should not happen from now on. The note also said that such incidents of harassment are clearly a direct violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961. It also clarified that the responsibility of the officials, employees and their families of the Indian High Commission is with the Pakistani government. On March 8, the First Secretary’s car of the Indian High Commission was aggressively pursued by Pakistani security agencies.
