Visa Bans: Big news for passport holders! This country bans visa on 14 countries including India, know the reasons

Saudi Arabia visa bans: This ban has been imposed on 14 countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Yemen and Morocco.

Saudi Arabia Visa Bans: Saudi Arabia has temporarily banned the issuance of visas to citizens of 14 countries including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. This will affect the approval of Umrah, business and family travel visas, which will continue till mid-June. It is believed that the Saudi Arabian government has imposed this ban with the aim of controlling the crowd due to the Haj pilgrimage as its timing coincides with it. This ban has been imposed till mid-June. That is, when the Haj pilgrimage is over, this ban will remain in effect.

This ban has been imposed on 14 countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Yemen and Morocco. Officials say that this step has been taken by the Saudi Arabian government to prevent individuals from trying to perform Hajj without proper registration. The main objective of this decision is to prevent a repeat of last year’s Hajj tragedy. Let us tell you that last year there was a stampede due to extreme heat and the presence of a large number of unregistered pilgrims. At least 1,200 pilgrims were killed in this incident.

Why was the decision taken to ban

According to various media reports, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had instructed the authorities to tighten visa rules this year, after which this ban has been imposed. However, people holding Umrah visas can still enter Saudi Arabia till April 13. The report said that the ban was needed because many foreign nationals come to Saudi Arabia on Umrah or travel visas and stay in the country for a long time. Then these people illegally join the Hajj in Mecca, where the crowd increases and chaos arises.

According to the latest rules, applications for Umrah visas can be made till April 13 this year. After this, no visa will be issued till the end of the Haj pilgrimage i.e. till mid-June. The Umrah Ministry of Saudi Arabia has said that this step has been taken purely as a logical step for the purpose of smooth and safe pilgrimage and it has no diplomatic connection in any way.
