But, now it is going to be very difficult for them to do so. New Zealand has recently increased its visa fees tremendously. Due to this, people will now have to pay about 60 percent more visa fees to go to this country. Due to this, students, businessmen and tourists will also have to loosen their pockets more. In the year 2023, New Zealand issued 115,008 visas for Indians.
Student visa fee increased from $ 300 to $ 485
At present, Indian students come second after China in New Zealand. Indians constitute 17 percent of foreign students. But, now the student visa fee in New Zealand has been increased from $300 to $485. According to the Business Standard report, this increased visa fee has come into effect from October 1. According to the report, Immigration Minister Erica Stanford said that we wanted to make a lot of changes in our visa system. We want this financial burden to be put on the visa takers instead of the taxpayers.

Tourist visa fee increased from $190 to $300
According to Education New Zealand, the fee for tourist visa has also been increased from $190 to $300. Erica Stanford said that with the increased fee, we will be able to reduce the cost of visa process. Due to this, the government will save about $563 million in 4 years. She said that our visa fee is still less than Australia and Britain. The visa fee in the Entrepreneur Residence Category has now increased from $3,710 to $11,320. Apart from this, in the Active Investor Category too, one will have to pay $12,070 instead of $4,630.
