Thailand Visa for Indians: If you are planning to visit Thailand in the new year, then there is good news for you. Now the e-visa system is being implemented for Indians to visit Thailand. The Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi has announced that from January 1, 2025, Thailand’s e-visa system will come into force for Indian passport holders. With this, Indian citizens will continue to get the benefit of visa exemption for up to 60 days as before. This 60-day visa exemption will be available for travel for tourism and business.

Where and how to apply for e-visa

According to the embassy, ​​​​application for all types of visas can now be done online at https://www.thaievisa.go.th. Applicants can apply themselves or through their representative. However, if the representative gives incomplete information while applying for a visa, then the embassy will not be responsible for it.

Visa charge and processing time

Those applying under the offline payment system will have to pay the visa charge. This charge will not be refunded under any circumstances. Visa processing will take about 14 working days from the date of receipt of the application fee.

When will you get visa after applying

The embassy said that applications for normal passports can be submitted to the designated visa processing companies till 16 December 2024. At the same time, diplomatic and official passport holders can apply at the embassy or consulate general till 24 December 2024.

60-day visa exemption continues

The 60-day visa exemption scheme for Indian nationals will continue until further notice. This facility is for tourism and small business purposes.
