The government also removed the last hurdle in the merger between Tata Group’s Air India and Vistara. In fact, Singapore Airlines got approval from the government for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) as part of Vistara’s proposed merger with Air India. Vistara is operated jointly by Tata Group and Singapore Airlines. The merger may be completed by the end of this year.
If you prefer to travel with Tata Group’s Vistara Airlines, you will be able to book flights only till November 11, 2024. According to the airline, from the beginning of next month, passengers will not be able to book Vistara tickets for November 12 or later. Air India will operate all Vistara planes from November 11 onwards. Booking for Vistara planes will be redirected to the Air India website.
