Subscribers also get unlimited local and national calling, along with unlimited roaming.
As the price and data war intensifies in the Indian telecom space, operators are constantly revising their prepaid plans and also coming up with new plans to take on the competition. Vodafone just introduced Rs 169 prepaid plan with 28 days validity, 1GB daily data, and unlimited calling. At the same time, the telco has also revised two of its prepaid plans that are priced at Rs 199 and Rs 399.
To begin with, the Vodafone Rs 199 prepaid plan now offers 1.5GB daily 2G / 3G / 4G data, allowing users to download a total of 42GB through the validity of 28 days. Users also get unlimited local and national calling, unlimited SMS (100 per day), and unlimited roaming. Earlier, the plan used to offer 1.4GB daily data, so with the revision, users will now get 100MB more on a daily basis.
Next is the Rs 399 prepaid plan. Under this plan, users get unlimited local and national calling, unlimited SMS (100 per day), and unlimited national roaming. Users also get 1GB daily data, and the plan is valid for 84 days. This means, users can download up to 84 GB data throughout the validity. Earlier, the plan used to offer 1.4GB daily data and validity of 70 days. Essentially, Vodafone has increased the validity by 14 days to 84 days, and reduced the daily data offering.
Both these plans come with FUP for outgoing calls. Daily calls are restricted to 250 minutes, and weekly calls are capped at 1,000 minutes. Once the FUP is hit, users will either be charged 1.2 paise per second, or Re 1 per minute, depending on the segmentation. Also, once the daily data limit is hit, users can continue with high-speed internet access at 50 paise per MB.
