In case there is a situation where you are required to change your photo in Aadhaar card, you can do so offline as there is no provision to do so online.
New Delhi: Aadhaar card is one of the most important identity proof document in the country. It contains you biometric data as well as your demographic information. The card is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). It may be noted that UIDAI was created with the objective to issue Unique Identification numbers (UID), named as “Aadhaar”, to all the residents.
In case there is a situation where you are required to change your photo in Aadhaar card, you can do so offline as there is no provision to do so online.
In case you want to change your photo in Aadhaar, here’s how you can do it
Step 1: Visit the nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre.
Step 2: Download the enrolment from the UIDAI website and carefully fill up the form.
Step 3: Submit the form to the executive and provide your biometric details. The executive at the centre will take your photograph.
Step 4: Provide your biometrics to approve your details.
Step 5: Pay Rs 25 + GST to update your details.
Step 6: You will receive an acknowledgement slip which carries your URN.
Step 7: Use the URN to check the update status.
In case you are unable to submit the form in person, you can get your picture in Aadhaar updates by writing to the regional UIDAI office. You have to download the Aadhaar data update correction from the official website of UIDAI and fill in all the required details. Then, write an application to the regional office asking them to change your Aadhaar card photo. Send the application on the following address:

Make sure to attach an attested copy of your new photo and a copy of your Aadhaar card with the application and form. Once your photo in Aadhaar is successfully updated, you will receive the new copy of your Aadhaar Card at your address within 15 to 20 days.
