IMD has said on Monday that this week there may be sporadic to light rain in Uttarakhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan. At the same time, there are chances of rain in the remaining areas of the northwest for the next 2 days and the weather will remain dry for 5 days after that.

Today’s Mausam: The pace of monsoon departure seems to be halted for the time being. The process, which started with a delay of about 10 days, is stuck in parts of only three states. These include Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. IMD i.e. India Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility that the weather may remain dry in many states of the northwest including Delhi.

Where will it rain today

IMD has said on Monday that this week there may be sporadic to light rain in Uttarakhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan. At the same time, there are chances of rain in the remaining areas of the northwest for the next 2 days and the weather will remain dry for 5 days after that. There may be moderate rain in central India this week. There are chances of rain in Konkan and Goa this week. Dry weather is expected in Saurashtra and Kutch from October 2.

Most of the northeastern states are expected to receive light to moderate rain this week. Also, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal may receive sporadic to moderate rain during the next 7 days. The Meteorological Department has said that South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal may receive heavy rains till September 30 and Kerala, Mahe till October 1.

When will the monsoon depart from UP-Delhi?

The speed of the monsoon departure, which had already started with a delay of 10 days, has slowed down. According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the departure of monsoon from UP normally starts from September 30 and continues till October 5. At the same time, according to the normal date of Delhi, the departure of monsoon is running 10 days late.
