Weather Update: Heavy rain alert in these areas till July 8, Meteorological Department issued alert

Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rain with thunder and lightning in northwest and central India. Heavy rains are expected in many states in the early part of the week. At the same time, heavy rains may occur in some areas from July 5 to July 8. It is raining heavily from Delhi to Rajasthan, Mumbai

Weather Update: The southwest monsoon had already knocked on the entire country 6 days before its normal. Hence, heavy rains occurred in many states including Delhi. Usually the monsoon reaches the entire country by July 8. But this year it has progressed very fast. Many states like Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam have been affected more by the rains. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (India Meteorological Department -IMD) has predicted moderate rains with thunder and lightning in northwest and central India in the next week.

Heavy rains may occur in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the early part of the week. At the same time, heavy rains may occur in different areas of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh throughout the week.

When will it rain in which state?

According to the Meteorological Department, today (July 5, 2024) there may be heavy rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar. At the same time, heavy rains are continuing in Mumbai since morning. There may be heavy rains in Uttarakhand from 5 to 7 July. At the same time, heavy rains have been predicted in different areas of Uttar Pradesh from 5 to 6 July. Heavy rains may occur in West Bengal and Sikkim till July 6. Heavy rains are expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on July 6. After this, heavy rains are expected in Assam, Meghalaya on 6 and 7 July and in Odisha on 7 July. The situation may worsen due to rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

Know the weather condition in other states

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the entire area with thunder and lightning in Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat state. At the same time, IMD further said that there may be sporadic to light to moderate rains in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Rayalaseema and Telangana.
