The temperature has crossed 35 degrees in many places. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the states of North East including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh today. At the same time, sunshine and heat will continue in many states including Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP and Punjab. Know what will be the weather like today.

The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 37 degree Celsius

The maximum temperature in the capital Delhi on Thursday was recorded at 37 degree Celsius, three degrees above normal. The Meteorological Department has forecast clear skies on Friday. The maximum temperature is likely to be recorded at 36.0 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 25 degrees Celsius. The IMD has said that the weather in Delhi will remain the same for the next week.

Heavy rain expected in West Bengal

A low pressure area is likely to form in the northern part of the Bay of Bengal today, which may cause heavy rain in various parts of West Bengal. The Meteorological Department said that due to the effect of the weather system, heavy rains are likely in the sub-Himalayan districts till Saturday, while very heavy rains are expected at one or two places. He said that due to the formation of a low pressure area, there will be heavy rain in the districts of South Bengal on Friday. The Meteorological Department said that heavy rains may cause landslides in the hill districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong.

Monsoon withdrawal from these states

According to the Meteorological Department, the withdrawal of monsoon from North India has started. The southwest monsoon has now returned from various parts of the country. According to the IMD, the monsoon has withdrawn from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, rest of West Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan. The temperature has started rising in these states. At the same time, monsoon will also withdraw from Western UP, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra in the next two to three days.

It may rain in these states today

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in some states today. Light to moderate rain may occur in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura of North East. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. IMD said that light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of these states – Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana. At the same time, there is a possibility of light rain at some places in Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, Lakshadweep, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat.
