Mamta government indifferent, PM Kisan scheme not implemented: West Bengal government is also indifferent about this scheme. In February this year, Food Minister of the Mamta Government Jyotipriya Malik said that we have not received any information from the Central Government in this regard. There is no question of West Bengal joining this scheme. He said that the West Bengal government has already spent an amount of Rs 200 crore on preparing digital ration card. In such a situation, who will return that amount? We will not implement this scheme. Significantly, the West Bengal government has not implemented the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in the state. So far, about 10 crore farmers have been added to the scheme and 5 installments of 2000 rupees have been released.
