Earlier, many users had to face problems regarding contacts because WhatsApp used to access the contacts of the phonebook. After deleting the number from phone contacts, that name also used to disappear from WhatsApp.
If the user loses his smartphone or changes the device, then the contacts also had to be shared. If the contacts were not shared, then instead of the name, numbers were visible on WhatsApp, but now with the new update, the contacts saved in WhatsApp will be automatically available in the other device.

The company said, this feature of WhatsApp Contact will prove useful for those people, when they share their handset with others or when they run more than one WhatsApp account, then the user will be able to keep his personal and business contacts separate.

This latest feature of WhatsApp will be launched through WhatsApp Web and Windows app. WhatsApp’s company Meta said that now users will be able to save contacts with the help of Linked Devices also.

Username feature will soon be seen in WhatsApp instead of mobile number. In such a situation, users will soon be able to share contacts without sharing the number. This feature is being done to improve the privacy of users. However, WhatsApp has not yet officially announced the launch date of this feature nor has it given the timeline of its launch.
