Apart from this, you may also have to pay a penalty of 10 thousand rupees. Let us tell you how you can check whether your PAN is linked to Aadhar or not-
(1) First of all, you go to the website of Income Tax Department www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. On the left side, you will find a tab named Quick Link. In this, you will get the link Aadhaar option. After this, a new page will open in front of you.
(2) On the top of this page, click here will appear written here. In addition, if you have already applied, then check the status here. After clicking on it, another page will open in front of you. In this, you will have to give information about Aadhaar and PAN card. After this, the view link will have to click on the Aadhaar status. Now you will know whether your Aadhaar is linked with PAN card or not.
(3) You can also know the status of your PAN Aadhaar through SMS. For this, you have to SMS 567678 or 56161 to one of these two numbers. You have to write UIDPAN 12 digit Aadhaar number by writing a 10 digit PAN number.
(4) Suppose your Aadhaar number is 123456789123 and PAN card number is ABCDE1234F. So you write UIDAPAN 123456789123 ABCDE1234F and SMS it. In response, you will get to know the status.
(5) If you have filled your income tax return but have not linked the Aadhaar card with PAN, then your tax return will not be processed. To process the return, you will have to link the Aadhaar PAN.
