Wipro Fresher Hiring: The information given by the company said that the company has accepted all its pending proposals. The company will continue to recruit 2500-3,000 ‘freshers’ every quarter. This simply means that 10,000-12,000 ‘freshers’ will be recruited every financial year.
Wipro Q3 Result: Wipro, the country’s fourth largest IT company, expects to recruit 10,000-12,000 students in the next financial year. Wipro announced the December quarter figures. The company tried to allay any concerns about changes in the H-1B visa system in the US, saying that a significant portion of its employees are local in the US. Announcing the company’s quarterly figures, Wipro HR head Saurabh Govil said, ‘We are hiring a large number of people… who are local in the US and today a significant part of our employees in the US are local… We have a good stock of H-1B visas, so we can transfer people whenever required… If the demand increases, the supply side will not be a hindrance for us.’
2500-3000 ‘freshers’ will be added every quarter
Wipro’s employee count declined by 1,157 in the third quarter of the current financial year (2024-25). The number of employees in the October-December quarter of FY 2024-25 was 2,32,732, while it was 2,33,889 in the July-September quarter and 2,39,655 in the December quarter of FY 2023-24. Govil said that the company has accepted all its pending proposals. The company will continue to add 2,500-3,000 ‘freshers’ every quarter. This means that 10,000-12,000 ‘freshers’ will be added every financial year.
Profit of Rs 3,354 crore in the third quarter
Earlier, Wipro’s integrated net profit in the third quarter of the current financial year 2024-25 grew 24.4 percent year-on-year to Rs 3,354 crore. Wipro said in a notice to the stock market that the company’s operating revenue grew by 0.5 percent to about Rs 22,319 crore during the period under review. According to the company information, for the upcoming March quarter, Wipro expects to earn revenue between $2,60.2 million and $2,65.5 million from the IT services business.
Wipro has announced a dividend of Rs 6 per share. Wipro CEO and MD Srini Palliya said that the company has given a higher revenue estimate due to better quarterly results. He said, ‘We have also achieved our highest margin in the last three years while continuing to invest in our people.’ Wipro completed 17 big deals whose total value is US $ 1 billion.
